Boost4BSO project, financed under Interreg Central Europe programme, addresses the topic “Industry
4.0/Advanced Manufacturing”, aiming at improving knowledge build-up and sustainable knowledge transfer linkages among Central Europe and business support organizations (BSO). The main project objective is to enable Central European BSOs, as key innovation system actors, to provide effective and efficient support services for local companies, covering all key aspects of transformation towards I4.0. This will help Central European SMEs, that nowadays lack basic knowledge on the potential of I4.0, to cope with their own transformation demand and develop I4.0 related business strategies.
It is already clear that the COVID-19 pandemic is significantly affecting the market situation. However, the digitization cannot save the whole economy, it has an undeniable role in mitigating economic consequences. Particularly SMEs are being forced to focus on new markets and customers as well as to adopt new ways of production.
The implementation of the CEUP 2030 project (Central Europe Upstreaming for Policy Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 towards 2030) has started, which aims to create policies in the field of Industry 4.0.
