“Capitalising TEN-T Corridors for Regional Development and Logistics – the Example of the Orient/East-Med Corridor”

CORCAP Pilot Action: Successful operation of first 740 m long TEN-T Demo-Train between Sopron and Budapest

On its journey through 40 European cities, the Connecting Europe Express was on the move in parts of the TEN-T Orient/East Med (OEM) corridor.

The fourth partner meeting took place on 3-4 September in Brno. Unfortunately, due to restrictions related to the covid pandemic, some partners were unable to attend the meeting in person so they participated online. The project progress and relevant topics regarding the partners pilot actions have been discussed.

Despite the current situation regarding the coronavirus crisis, the CORCAP project still continues. The third partner meeting took place on 10-11 June and was held in digital form.

The CORCAP partners met for the second time to discuss the project progress. The meeting was connected with the first meeting of the Advisory Board to which the project and pilot activities have been presented.

The CORCAP project doesn’t start from zero. It is built on previous projects dealing with the topic of OEM corridor. The problematics of OEM corridor is described in following Transport Market Study.

The kick-off meeting was held on 19th – 21st June 2019 in Budapest. Partners from 4 countries met for the first time and discussed several topics.

Part of the meeting was a city sightseeing around Budapest. On the second day partners visited Freeport of Budapest Logistics which gave interesting information about the port and logistics. Now the project can start!
