Routes of Reformation has officially received the certification as European Cultural Route and is thus, now recognized by the Council of Europe.
On May 17, ECRR hosted its final conference in Gosau, Austria. More than 100 participants from all project regions and beyond gathered to celebrate the achievements of the past three years and made plans for everything that is yet to come for the Routes of Reformation association.
The Routes of Reformation, product of ECRR, has officially been certified by the Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) on April 10, 2019. This is a tremendous honor and opportunity. More can be found here.

As part of our project, we conceptualized and designed a route website. The website went officially live on October 1, 2018 and provides details on our route, its diverse sites, and the Reformation processes in Europe and beyond.

On October 16, 2018, we officially held the first General Assembly session of the Routes of Reformation association in Velenje, Slovenia. 24 founding members voted on the statutes, the membership fee regulation, and the board members.
On October 16 and 17, 2018, our partnership met in Velenje for the bi-annual meeting of the project steering committee. We discussed past achievements and upcoming tasks. It is always a delight to see the project family and to celebrate our Routes of Reformation.
On October 8 – 10, 2018, we attended the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels. It was a great joy to participate in the INTERREG networking sessions and to officially unveil our Routes of Reformation ‘story board’.
We are proud to officially unveil our brand new logo and promotional material. Conceptualizing our brand and producing the promotional items was a lot of fun and we cannot wait to share them with tourists, partners, and stakeholders.
We are happy to announce that we have submitted our application for certification as European Cultural Route to the European Institute of Cultural Routes.
2018 has been chosen as the official year of cultural heritage. The aim is to highlight cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible. ECRR is pleased to support the efforts to preserve and rethink the use of cultural heritage in today’s society.
The second Train-the-Trainer Seminar took place in České Budějovice in March 2018. More than 50 participants discussed stakeholder alignment and networking opportunities.
Our Stakeholders and Project Partners are representing ECRR at the ITB – The World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. We showcased our efforts and ideas for the European Cultural Route of Reformation. In 2018, we will be present at numerous tourism conventions.
More than 100 Participants gathered in Erfurt to discuss Reformation as a European Process and to support the establishement of the “Routes of Reformation”.
In October 2017, an internal workshop was held between partners in Vienna, Austria. Topics such as the Transnational Action Plan and stakeholder involvement opportunities were discussed.
The first Train-the-Trainer Seminar was held on the topic “Preservation of cultural heritage” with 53 participants in attendance.
The European Cultural Route of Reform ation will be a route network of single sites and linear trails in Central Europe under the topic of Reformation.
Prague and the cities that are part of the Association of Cities with Hussite History and Tradition offer numerous sites and events related to Jan Hus and his biography.
